Happy Senior School was started on 1st May 1948 in Basti Harphool Singh, Paharganj. At the time of start, it was a small nursery and kindergarten school which was started in the home of Late Shri Ram Saran Das Ghai, Ex Head Master DAV School, Lahore, Pakistan. In the year 1967, the school had to be shifted to Kirti Nagar due to lack of space at Basti Harphool Singh.
